The Stack Shelf is an absolute object. It exists by itself without style, design or referent.
Functional and sculptural, its form directly emerges from the dimensions of the largest aluminium profile available. The design lies only in the number of divisions - here ten divisons of 600mm each - of the six meter long rectangular profile, and the spacing between the stacks. The light brushed finish of the surface is done only to bring out the natural aspect of aluminium and to create a subtle play with light that animates the object.
